Daniel Acker grew up in Anderson, South Carolina and attended Auburn University in Alabama where he received a B.S. degree in Aeronautical Engineering. During his 40 year career in the Aerospace industry, he participated in a number of defense and space related programs, including the Gemini Manned Space Program and the Apollo Lunar Landing Program where he was a member of the launch team at Kennedy Space Center in Titusville, Florida.
Mr. Acker is currently retired and living in Meritt Island, Florida where he is active in Faith Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church. He is an ordained elder and currently a member of the Greater Session participating in the Under Shepherd Ministry of that congregation. Mr. Acker is also active as a volunteer with the Brevard County Meals On Wheels Program.
